HD - to upgrade or not?

Thought I would post a few words on this. It is a great question and one that couples themselves have answered best to date. I am seeing a trend now where, understandably, we all don't have Blu Ray players but most of us do have HD capable TVs. What a lot of couples are doing is upgrading their packages and taking the option of one Blu Ray copy and one DVD copy. This allows them to ' Future Proof' their wedding day, so that when they do upgrade to a Blu Ray player (or get a Playstation 3 which can play Blu Ray) they can enjoy their wedding film in glorious High Definition. Unlike for a film we only have one shot at this, so its best to capture it with the highest quality now so that its available for your future enjoyment.

Frequently Asked Questions

To help all you couples out there we have compiled a FAQ section. This is a selection of questions we get asked the most. You can view this below.

SOLAR WEDDINGS F.A.Q

How long after the wedding will it be before I receive the completed DVDs?

How long is the completed DVD?

May I choose my own music for the video?

Does the DVD include a chapter selection menu?

What style of filming do you do? Will we have to interact as we do with the photographer?

What package should I choose?

If you've ever seen high-definition (HD) video on an HDTV, then you know just how incredibly sharp the picture is and how vivid the colours are. In fact, HD offers five times the amount of detail compared to standard-definition (SD). The problem with today's DVDs is that they only support SD and don't have the necessary storage capacity to satisfy the needs of HD. That's where Blu-ray comes in, as it offers up to 50GB of storage capacity and enables playback, recording and rewriting of HD in all of the HD resolutions including 1080p. The format also supports high-definition audio formats and lossless audio. Choosing this format will allow you to view your wedding film in stunning visual and audio quality time after time.
